HUB FITNESS STAFF
Audrey Duncan, Yoga Instructor
A lifetime "Greenville-ite", Audrey graduated from USC with a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry in 2012. She has maintained a passion for fitness throughout her life from soccer, dance, tennis, hiking, golf, running, rock climbing, disc golf, and more. When a coworker introduced her to yoga in 2013 and she decided to give it a try. She immediately fell in love with the intense sweat-inducing challenge of heated yoga. She continues the gentle, non-competitive practice daily for the ever-growing body awareness, strength, and confidence it provides her. She completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training from Zanti Power Yoga in April 2016. She hopes to instill self-love, mental vibrancy, happiness, and inner strength in her students through creative flows and a loving repertoire that challenges the body and mind.
Candin Phillips, Group Fitness Instructor & Suspension Training Coach
Candin and her husband moved to Travelers Rest from Mississippi in 2012. They joined HUB shortly after it opened and she later became a certified group fitness instructor. During the day, she works as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Greenville. She also helps out at The Tasting Room in downtown Travelers Rest. As a mental health counselor, she finds that physical fitness and health play an important role in ones overall well being. Candin is a powerful instructor who loves to create fun, challenging workouts for HUB Fit and HUB 360 classes. She also teaches Suspension Training classes for 1-3 people in small groups.
Christina Baluch, HUB Dance & HUB Fit Instructor
Christina graduated from Elon University with a Bachelors of Exercise Physiology in 2006. Her enthusiasm for fitness began when she started dancing at the age of 3. She has also done competitive cheerleading and was a member of the dance team in both high school and college. Christina became an avid runner and competed in several half and full marathons. She loves to encourage others to be their best, so she became licensed to teach Zumba in 2009. Christina is one of our HUB Dance instructors and also teaches a great HUB Fit class every other Tuesday night! She lives in Travelers Rest with her husband, Kevin and young daughter, Julia.
Lindsey Bayne, Transform Fitness, HUB Fit & HUB 360 Instructor
Lindsey is married with a son and daughter. She grew up in Greenville, playing team sports since elementary school. The camaraderie she experienced from playing sports has lead her to her passion of group fitness. She was certified through NETA last year and jumped right in to teaching classes at HUB, where she challenges, motivates and encourages folks each week. She loves seeing others challenge themselves spiritually and physically. Lindsey loves cooking, running, getting outside, and learning about other cultures.
Elizabeth Wingard, Group Fitness, Barre Pilates, Yoga & Nutrition Coach
Elizabeth Wingard has been in the fitness industry for 17 years, and is a Board certified holistic health coach, certified group fitness instructor, marathoner and mom of three girls. She began her career as an elementary school teacher and started teaching fitness classes on nights and weekends. When she had children, she began to educate herself about nutrition and exercise. Since then, she has completed eight marathons. In addition to leading group exercise, she is the founder of Healthy Balance For Life, LLC. She counsels clients one-on-one or in small groups, where she helps them achieve health and nutrition goals. She leads seminars, grocery store tours and cooking classes, as well. And, on top of her other certifications, Elizabeth holds separate certifications in cycle, barre pilates, silver sneakers, kettlebells and weight training.
Julie Ramsey, Group Fitness and Mat Pilates Instructor
Julie has been with HUB Fitness since the beginning of 2015. She has always had a passion for fitness, as she grew up very active in cheerleading, gymnastics, softball and track. Her love for people and seeing them be healthy and fit inspired her to get Nationally Certified and brought her to HUB Fitness where she now leads several classes per week. Julie is a wife and mother and TR resident whose energy and excitement for fitness are evident when you take her classes!
Lorraine Matheney, Yoga Instructor
Lorraine Matheny was born and raised in NJ and joined the US Air Force right out of High School. She was stationed in California and during her active duty tour, she found Scott, the love of her life. In 1994, Scott and Lorraine moved to Travelers Rest. At the invitation of a friend, Lorraine attended her first Yoga class. She has been a practicing student ever since! She found a passion she never knew she had and believes Yoga is definitely for her! Lorraine loves how people connect with the community through Yoga. She and her mother do Yoga together ever day, too. Lorraine's love for Yoga led her to enroll in a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training Program. Now, she's a registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance, teaching something she is excited about and wants to share with everyone! Lorraine can't wait to see you at HUB Fitness!
Leslie Nease, Owner of HUB Fitness, Barre Boxing & Pilates, Group Fitness Instructor & Personal Trainer
Leslie is a NETA Nationally Certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor who has taught everything you can imagine in the past 24 years. Her experience and national certifications have included Group Fitness, Cardio Kickboxing, Reebok Cycling, Zumba, Reebok Body Walk, Bootcamp, Personal Training and Nutrition Consultant.
Leslie has had many years of experience as a Group Fitness Director. She began at New Fitness in Chesapeake, VA, where she managed two Group Fitness programs. Upon moving to Charlotte, NC in 1996 she managed two of Ric Flair's Gold's Gym's Group Fitness Programs. She has also been a personal trainer, group fitness instructor, nutrition consultant and fitness coach for the YMCA in Fort Mill, SC.
If you are a Survivor fan, you may recognize her because she was a contestant on Survivor China in 2007, where she had the experience of a lifetime! She trained for years for this adventure and it most certainly did not disappoint!
Leslie also has a Christian speaking and writing ministry, which you can read more about, at www.leslienease.com. She has written a book called Wholehearted: Living the Life You Were Created to Live.
Leslie has a huge heart for Travelers Rest and is looking forward to how the programs at HUB Fitness can impact the community!
Sabrina Smith, Group Fitness, Yoga, Pilates Instructor & Personal Trainer
Sabrina has been a Fitness Coach at HUB Fitness since August, 2014. She is an ACE certified group fitness instructor and personal trainer. Her fitness journey was ignited by running and continues with cross training with her clients at Hub. She insists that camaraderie is the key to reaching your fitness goals. Sabrina teaches Hub Strength, Hub Fit and Pilates. Her passion is to help her clients make a plan, follow through and succeed in ways they never thought were possible. Sabrina is married and has lived in Travelers Rest for 18 years and has four children. She graduated from Appalachian State University and is a part time accountant.
